Synopsis[]
Emily comes over to Socks’, but due to confusion with Socks’ tendency to make up names for people who’s names she doesn’t remember, Emily becomes sad.
Transcript[]
*Emily gets out of a car and runs into Socks’ house*
Socks: Hewwo Emmy!
Emily: Hi Socks! Bluey told me all about you!
Socks: What did Bwuey say?
Emily: She said you’re adorable like her sister, and she’s right! You’re so sweet and little!
Socks: Thank youuu! I used to walk on all fous!
Emily: I used to as well! I stopped because.. *long pause with sad piano notes* ..uh.. reason.. Why did you stop?
Socks: Becuz mummy wants me to grow out of it. She says other kids will laugh at me.
Emily: Well I won’t! How about you do it while I’m around because then I can relate to you!
Socks: Oki!
Emily: Your dad is cool.
Socks: He is! What’s your dad like?
*Sad piano notes start playing as it cuts to Emily’s face. The pause lasts for 10 seconds.
Emily: How about we change the subject?
Socks: Oki! *Accidentally touches Emily’s bruise*
Emily: OW!! SOCKS!!
Socks: Oh, sowwy. Does that bwue and bwack thing hult when I touch it?
Emily: Yea.. speaking of, Socks.. can you get your mum to help apply this? My nana gave it to me, she said it’ll keep germs off of it.
Socks: Oki!
*She goes inside and comes back with Trixie*
Socks: Mum, Muffin needs hewp appwing this to her ouchy spot.
Emily: Muffin?! I trusted you, and you’re trying to trick your mum into helping your sister instead of me!
*She runs off with tears in her eyes*
Socks: Noo, wait!
*It shows Emily crying in the grass. Socks walks up to her.*
Socks: I’m sowwy.. I didn’t mean to hult youl feewings.. I just didn’t lemembe youl name..
Emily: ...it’s okay, Socks.
*They hug. It cuts to Trixie looking proud of Socks and the episode ends.*
Moral[]
Be patient with people who have bad memory. It’s not their fault.
