Distinguishing

Not to be confused with Emily.

Emily K. Herder is a recurring character in Bluey.

Appearance[]

Emily has black fur. She shares a body type with Rusty. She has a tan upper-muzzle, inner ears, limb markings, and chest heart. She also has a black nose.

Personality[]

As a 7 year old, she tries to be helpful as much as she can, but it ends up just being annoying.

As a 26 year old, she still has a very big heart, and she’s known for her love of activity yet fear of crowds. This can be a bit challenging for her.

She is emetophobic.

Despite her gluten intolerance, she loves bread. This leads to burping in a similar fashion to how sauerkraut affects Bandit.

She is almost constantly smiling to hide her emotional pain. Sometimes she still cracks, however. Despite this, in Bluey: All Grown Up, she has healed somewhat (emotionally and physically), and doesn't bottle her emotions anymore.

Relationships[]

Bluey[]

Bluey is her first friend in Brisbane after she and her family moved from the UK. As of Bailey and the Brandy, they are step-cousins. In Bluey: All Grown Up, Bluey christens herself "Emily's extroverted cousin", with Emily saying she's Bluey's introverted cousin.

Status: Friends, Eventual Step-Cousins

Bingo[]

Bingo and Emily are very close friends due to both admiring space, art, bugs, and (implied) being on the spectrum. As of Bailey and the Brandy, they are step-cousins. In Bluey: All Grown Up, Bingo goes to Emily for art advice.

She and Judo have only interacted once. They seemed indifferent to each other.

Trivia[]

  • She is Curls Paws’ Blueysona.
  • In Nostalgia, it is revealed that she got the bruise when she was 6.
    • In this episode, she also gains a more Kelpie-like body, and the error with the outlines of her eyes & snout sometimes flickering to dark grey is fixed.
  • Her eyelids are tan.
  • In the short Fight or Flight, the opening to Fancy Restaurant is shown, but during the title card, Emily interrupts by peeking her head up from the bottom of the title card and saying “NO!” before tearing down the title card, startling the Heeler family. This is a reference to the episodes Ticklecrabs and The Sleepover.
  • Ludo Studio confirmed that she is autistic, thus resulting in her becoming traumatised easily, such as with her flu.

!!IMPORTANT!! Character Permissions[]

You May:[]

  • Use her in episodes
  • Make headcanons (as long as they aren’t about her sexuality/gender when she’s older because I already have planned ones)
  • Make MINOR changes
  • Make fanart (please do!)

You May Not:[]

  • Make major changes to her page or character
  • Change her images (unless one is glitched/broken)
  • Sexualise her (even her older self! She’s my truesona, meaning she represents me, so that would make me QUITE uncomfortable.)
  • Make hate art (although I won’t report you or anything I’ll probably just laugh at it because it’s hideous)
