Claire Doberman is a secondary character in Bluey. She is a student at Glasshouse Primary School.
Appearance[]
Claire is a Doberman Pinscher with primarily bluish black fur. She has a light brown muzzle, stomach, eyebrows, hands, under-tail, and feet. She also has a light brown spot on both cheeks.
Unlike the rest of her family, her ears and tail are uncropped, which is a metaphor for human parents choosing to break a cycle of abuse in their family.
Personality[]
Claire is aggressive, temperamental, alert, brave, energetic, intelligent, loyal, and protective - all traits of the Doberman breed. She is prone to aggressive outbursts disproportionate to the situation she's in. These outbursts often involve verbal aggression towards others and destructiveness towards nearby objects. She often gets into heated arguments and has meltdowns.
However, despite her aggressive tendencies, she is feels regretful, embarrassed, and guilty after an outburst, suggesting that she is kind at heart and can't help her outbursts.

Trivia[]
- She is intended as representation for children with anger issues.
- Her breed, the Doberman Pinscher, is a metaphor for children with anger issues: aggressive and destructive behaviour that they cannot control.
- The anger disorder which she has is left ambiguous, however based on her behaviour and symptoms it is most likely based off of Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED).
- Her being best friends with Coco is a unique take on the Odd Friendship trope - while they are almost complete opposites, their friendship was forged on Coco realising Claire might be very similar to her deep down inside.
- Her frequent arguments with Mackenzie and Emily that appear in the background of episodes she appears in are based on the fact that children with anger problems often do not get along with each other.
