Synopsis[]
Bluey teams up with her fan to make a movie!
Plot[]
Act I[]
The movie begins with a view of the sky. Then the camera shifts to the Heeler house as we then see Bluey and Bingo sleeping then they wake up by seeing the sunrise, then after, the duo begins doing many of the morning preparations like brushing their teeth, showering, and walking downstairs for breakfast, where they are greeted by their parents. Then they have breakfast and Bingo comments that it’s nice that it’s been so calm lately, Bluey agrees. So after the girls finish their breakfast, they are overjoyed when they find out it’s the weekend again.
Then, the camera pans up, with a view of the sky as the logo comes on screen. We then see the girls go to the store with Bandit and play toddlers, much to Bandit's dismay and embarrassment, Bluey says that she feels like she’ll be a kid forever, Bandit denies, and says things will be changing soon, the girls shrug it off. After another time out is given to Bandit, the family leaves the store. When they arrive home Chilli announces that Bluey has won a raffle and gets to have her own meet and greet, Chilli tells her it’s a big responsibility, Bluey understands. So Bluey and Bingo gets started on writing a list of answers for potential questions.
The camera pans out of the Heeler house and to the left where we see Wendy and Judo’s House, Where we see Judo and Alex, talking about blueys popularity. They mention how they are annoyed about how large her popularity has spread and Alex says “It’s not like she’s the main character of her own life or something!”, unawarely. They’re both are tired of this and are not going to take it any more! So they think of a plan…to get Bluey out of the spotlight for good! And maybe Judo would have her own chance to shine!
Meanwhile, at the Brisbane Convention Centre we see Bluey on stage with people surrounding her, asking questions with her answering her, then Bluey announces that she’s having people come on stage for signatures, Chili says she’s not sure about that. But surprisingly we see a young Cocker Spaniel named Avery comes up, Bluey discovers that she is her fan. Bluey is overjoyed with her fan! But then Avery tells Bluey that she is on a mission, a mission to make her own fanon movie!
At Judo’s house we see the local newscaster telling about Bluey and Avery’s idea to make a fan movie! The crowd is in awe, and are cheering and celebrating on TV, much to Alex and Judo’s dismay. But then they both think of a scheme to ruin “Bluey: The Movie: A Fan Project” for the fans as well as Bluey’s reputation forever… So they make a plan to sneak into Avery’s house to steal the movie!
Act II[]
We then see Bluey and Avery filming the movie at the Park, where they come across Winnie who also joins them in the filming process. Then a montage happens where we see the kids having fun while making the fan movie, over the course of a few months, They voice and film the movie. Meanwhile we see Judo and Alex planning, and how Judo is so excited to finally have her chance nay, her moment. They edit the movie in post-production, and after many more exhausting and crazy months they are finished and have the final product, late evening, they transfer the film onto a tape. And so the girls are ready to send the movie to the executives, But first they fall asleep since they are exhausted and stuff.
Meanwhile at Judo’s house, Alex reveals that the fan movie is finished, judo is so happy. So Alex uncovers the drone he was saving for a special occasion, and this is it. He then goes over the steps of the plan, First they fly the drone, second they fly said drone to Bluey’s house, third they aim the claw attached to the drone to the tape of the finished fan film, fourth they’ll ruin the film and replace it with a much worse version, last they put the tape for this scheme at their house, like nothing happened. Judo is enthralled by this plan, and is in agreement.
The kids then go through the plan, with lots of bumps along the way, but in the end, they retrieve the tape right under Bluey, Bingo, and Avery’s noses! They are excited that it actually worked! So then the deliberate duo get to work on ruining the contents of the tape. A montage of the kids adding crude, gory, and gross imagery that you’ll never expect to see in a fan movie, Not to mention a terrible moral, theme, and animation. Judo and Alex are happy with their final result, and they made the outside look like how they found it, like nothing happened! And so without stopping, they put the tape right back where they found it!
The next morning, we see the trio so excited as they eat breakfast, brush teeth, and stuff enthralled for their 9 hr 35min and roadtrip to deliver their fan movie to Screen Australia’s Headquarters, they are positive that they’ll get accepted and have their film be turned into a theatrical feature film! Bandit warns then that It might not be accepted, But the kids are sure that it will! So begins their roadtrip across the country/continent, filled with snacks, siblings, and silliness!! We see them visit real life attractions like Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Sydney Tower. But then as they’re reaching their destination, they come across Avery’s old house, Avery comments on how she used to live there, until her mom passed… Ever since her mom died her and her brother had to live at the shelter, and it’s terrible! The Heelers are devastated! And they all feel remorseful, But eventually they make It there, and they drop off the film at Headquarters.
Act III[]
And so the girls wait and wait and wait, then as the months go by, Avery enrolls in Bluey’s school, and the other kids like her as well. Avery herself feels very invited and glad they are being so welcoming to her while she is currently there. She appreciates all of it and is very thankful and stuff. They play games, have sleepovers, and go to school together! Bluey and Avery are really happy, especially Bluey. But anyway after everything they finally get a response in their mailbox on an early morning, The Heelers (and Avery) are surprised to find out that their movie, has been REJECTED!! The kids are distraught!
The kids are so disappointed, and the parents say sometimes things don’t work out…But Avery is very suspicious and thinks that someone possibly sabotaged their fan movie! Bluey thinks she’s in denial, But Avery thinks that they should watch the tape, the others reluctantly agree. We see everyone watching the film with horrified looks on their faces, while the movie plays offscreen, it’s the most graphic, poorly animated, and grotesque film that they had the displeasure of watching, So they make the obvious conclusion that it is definitely not their film.
Just then, we see that Chili gets a notification on her phone, She tells them it’s hate emails, criticizing them for how they’ve ruined the Heeler name we’ve gone to love all this time and they soiled it! The Heelers try to explain that this is just a misunderstanding but the fans don’t want to hear it! The situation is looking grim, and there reputation seems to be the point of no return, they won’t ever be able to show they’re faces anywhere! But then Avery takes a stand, determined to not going to let a little misunderstanding ruin our reputation, and she’s not going to let this happen to the Heelers, they have to tell them the truth!! The Heelers are in agreement. The Heelers go outside, seeing that there is a crowd of people surrounding them, the family is scared, but Bluey and Avery tell them that would the heelers really make a movie like that, and ruin their reputation purposely. Also it’s very obvious that they didn’t make that film, the crowd sort of understands and appreciates their honesty,
Eventually, they find Alex who is still at Judo’s house. Avery walks in on them scheming, Alex is surprised she’s here by herself. But they’re not alone, They have brought all their closest allies to fend along with them, Judo says that they’ll never beat her and Alex, But Mackenzie points out that they are outnumbered. And Chilli tells them they shouldn’t run, because the police are already outside. Just then, Wendy comes out and she’s confused, so the Heelers explain everything that’s happened, from the breaking and entering, to ruining their reputation. Wendy is not happy, she screams and yells at Judo and Alex, and they sulk their heads down.
Act IV[]
They turn Judo and Alex into the police officers, in the next scene, We see Alex and Judo being testified in court, Then Judo tells them the truth, all she wanted was to be in the spotlight and have her moment, she’s felt so minor lately, and she thought the only way to do so was to ruin Bluey’s reputation. Bluey then tells everyone that all she wanted was to be appreciated, and The judge thinks about it, and gives leniency to the kids with 200 hours of community service, and no Juvie (juvenile detention). Judo and Bluey have a heart to heart after that we see on the TV that Bluey and her family’s reputation has been redeemed! And all is well!!
Everyone congrats Bluey of her win, Then while everyone is leaving, Avery comments that they have been the best family that’s ever cared for her before, and she’d love to be one of them, This has been the best months of her life, and she’s so happy, But then the Heelers take Avery, then they officially adopt her. She could not be more happier, and she is so glad that she now actually has a family of her own, Bluey and Bingo are so happy, now knowing they have a third official sister to hang out with, it’s going to be awesome! Chili comments on how she’s so amazed on how responsible Bluey is becoming, and also how she is actually showing signs of growing up, But still showing her playful and amazing side of her personality, Bandit and Bingo agree, saying that even though growing up is hard, she makes it look kind and easy. Bluey smiles and starts singing (with Avery) about how Growing Up (song) is not so bad with a fan by her side but still she’s going to make the most of it.
Later that month, we see the Heelers promise to re-make the film, promising that they’ll do whatever they can to earn back the peoples respect, one step at a time. The crowd cheers, happily then the Heeler hug, happy to have some of their fan-base back. Then, the heeler hear something outside, Busker is playing music, and so the Heelers all dance as the screen fades to black,
In a post-credits scene, we see Bluey’s real fan movie has been released and Avery and Bluey are happy with how it turned out movie, so they get online to see the reaction, they are shocked by the response.
